Cold Metal Fusion was invented by Headmade Materials in Unterpleichfeld, Germany, and has been in development since 2015. They are a deep tech company working where 3D printing meets powder metallurgy, and they are explicit about what they are not: a series manufacturer of metal parts. Headmade supplies material, technology and know-how.
We supply the feedstock, we run the process, and we support US manufacturers taking parts from a drawing to production, whether the parts come from us or the line ends up in your plant.
Headmade closed a Series A led by AM Ventures with the btov Industrial Technologies Fund participating, and received up to EUR 5.8m from the European Innovation Council Accelerator programme, placing it among the top ten German companies in that programme. Partners include Nexa3D, Element22, MIMplus Technologies and the Rosler Group. Headmade Materials is certified to ISO 9001.
Feedstock, process parameters, equipment specification and engineering support come from us, on US soil, without routing your program through Europe.
