Aerospace and Defence

Production-ready titanium and superalloy components for lightweight structures, thermal environments, and mission-critical hardware. Ti-6Al-4V and Inconel 625 machine far more cheaply at the green stage than in finished metal.

Energy and Turbomachinery

High-temperature, corrosion-resistant components for pumps, turbines and flow-critical systems. Closed vane impellers, with their tight shrouds and enclosed passages, are a natural fit for a process with no tooling and no support structures.

Industrial Equipment

Durable production-grade components for machinery, automation and industrial tooling at volume, in stainless and tool steels.

Titanium chain links, 400-part series

A packaging machine component redesigned from plastic that could not hold up mechanically. Three weeks from redesign to first live test, in Ti-6Al-4V.

Cutting tool holder, 185% performance increase

Produced in M2 tool steel with an interior 3D coolant channel that raised cutting performance by up to 185% over the conventional design.

Clipless bicycle pedals, several thousand a year

A consumer product with an integrated leaf-spring mechanism produced as a single part, 100 grams per pair including the titanium axle.

Part size and design limits

Metal injection moulding caps out around a fist-sized part at a few hundred grams. Cold Metal Fusion builds layer by layer, so parts over 25 cm tall and several kilograms are possible. Wall thickness from 1.0 mm to 25.0 mm. Threads M4 and up print directly.
